In nature games serve very specific purpose. That purpose is to develop and enhance the abilities of babies to survive, stay healthy, mate and pass on the same abilities to the next generation. Any skill that gives an added advantage to a member of a species to  compete against other members of the species is rewarded in having more successful reproductive cycle.

Parents do not usually think this way when they choose among the games for toddlers. At least not consciously. Wanting the best for your child is part of this natural process. It helps if you sat back and consciously thought about what actually is “best” for your child.
