Of course, it is very difficult to hit upon the reason for the tots suffering at nighttime unless your child speaks it out that she had nightmare.

Lots of grounds may be there for a child to awake in between her sleep during night and stay upset. Some tots may yearn for comfort when they get up in the night as they don’t know to calm themselves and get back into their dreamy world. The reason for the destruction of their sleep may also be due to illness or they may feel uncomfortable in their bed. Get her most loved toy or stuffed animal near her and check twice that you had switched on the night lamp. In case, if you carry your child to your bed, you are just creating the habit that could not be easily forgotten by your tot.

Make an exchange of idea about nightmare with your child if she is big enough and you should remember that it is not the reality and only dream.
